Battalion Cross Country Championships 2018

News |

2nd Ahoghill Company competed in this year's Ballymena Battalion cross country championships, which took place on the rain soaked pitches of Ballymena Academy.

Anchor Boys

The event commenced with the Anchor Boy’s race, with just one boy from 2nd Ahoghill involved.  An exciting race through the rain and muddy conditions resulted in an 18th place finish.

Unfortunately no Junior Section boys were able to represent the company at this year’s event.

Company Section

Only one Company Section boy took part this year, competing in the Juniors race. William McCartney’s well timed final sprint earned him a 5th place finish, and continued his steady progression as he improved on last year’s result.

Thank you to the boys for competing and representing 2nd Ahoghill, and special thanks to the officers from battalion who organised the event.
