Seven boys travelled to Coleraine as our Seniors football team competed in the opening round of this year's national competition.
A total of twenty four teams competed in four venues across Northern Ireland. Our matches were played in Score Football Centres, Coleraine against 1st Ballyclare, 1st Cullybackey, 1st Garvagh, 2nd Coleraine and 4th Ballymoney.
Despite a confident performance from our boys, a single goal in our last match prevented our progression to the Irish Finals. BBNI competition co-ordinator John McFadden summarised the night with the following quote-
The Winners were never in doubt, but the runners-up spot was hotly contested between Ahoghill, Ballymoney and Garvagh. Going into the last set of matches all 3 teams had a chance to take the Runners-Up spot, a goal in the last few seconds of the Ahoghill vs Garvagh match, snatched a draw for Garvagh and the Runners-up spot in the Competition.
Congratulations to Ballyclare and Garvagh, and all the best as they compete in the Irish Finals in January 2026.
