Canoeing at Newferry

News |

2nd Ahoghill Company Section completed their first canoeing session of the summer, as they enjoyed the sunny weather on the waters of the River Bann.

The boys met at Newferry carpark, where the leaders had the canoes ready and waiting to hit the water.

We spent the evening taking turns in the canoes, while those on land cooked burgers and sausages on the barbecue.

For some this was their first experience in the canoes, and they took the opportunity to explore the river while practicing their paddling.

As daylight faded, the evening drew to a close as we loaded the canoes onto the trailer and returned to the church.
