2nd Ahoghill Company Section marked their last meeting of 2022 with a game of ten pin bowling at the Jet Centre in Coleraine.
We met in the frosty church car park and cautiously made our way to Coleraine. The bowling alley was full when we arrived at the Jet Centre, so the boys entertained themselves on the nearby air hockey table and boxing machine while we waited.
Once our lanes were available we split into three groups — junior boys, senior boys and adults — and began our games of bowling.
All three games were closely matched, with several players viewing for the top spot going into the final frames. In the end Reuben, Joe and Jonnie finished top of their respective groups. Special mention to Jack and William who both scored two strikes throughout the night.
We exited the Jet Centre via the arcade, where a few of the boys won tickets to exchange for sweets in the arcade shop. However this was only an appetiser as we concluded the outing by heading for something to eat at the nearby McDonalds, before travelling back to Ahoghill.
