The boys and leaders of 2nd Ahoghill BB Company were enrolled for the 2019/20 session, as they attended their annual enrolment service in Brookside Presbyterian Church on Sunday morning.
The service began at 11:30am and was led by Rev. William Moody.
The congregation were upstanding as the colours were marched in by Company Section members Harry McKay and Daniel Hayburn, with James McFetridge, Sam Gault, Scott Millar and John Watterson acting as escorts.
After the opening praise and prayer, Scott Millar read the first Bible reading from Psalm 2 v1-6.
William shared a short message based on the account of Jesus’ arrest found in Luke 22 v47-53.
The Junior Section formed a choir to perform a song entitled King of Me, the words and actions reminding us that we should give Jesus his rightful place as king in our lives.
Five officers from the Company Section were enrolled this year, with William Young continuing as Captain and Jonathan McCartney continuing as Leader in Charge. Lieutenants Ryan Young, Thomas Clarke and Jonathan Clarke also continued in their posts.
Four boys were enrolled as Non-Commisioned Officers this year. Peter Cahoon, William McCartney and Harry McKay were promoted to the rank of Corporal. With Scott Millar being promoted to Lance Corporal.
Overall fourteen boys were enrolled in the Company Section for the 2019/20 session.
