Enrolment Promises

Below are the promises made during our enrolment service, please reflect on these throughout the year to ensure you are fulfilling your role as promised.

Captain & Section Leaders

You have been called by God to the work of caring for and training the Boys of our Company. Do you promise by your work and example to seek to advance Christ’s Kingdom and work in partnership with the Church to share the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Officers & Leaders

Realising the responsibilities involved in your leadership as officers and leaders, do you now dedicate yourselves to serve God in furthering the object of the Boys’ Brigade, the advancement of Christ’s kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, discipline, reverence and self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness?

Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs)

Your Captain has shown faith and confidence in you by promoting you to these ranks. Do you now promise, with God’s help, to support your Officers loyally, to carry out your duties cheerfully and at all times to set a good example to other Boys of the Company? 

Boys

Boys, desiring to be enrolled as members of the Boys’ Brigade, do you promise to obey the rules of the Company and to set an example of good conduct to your friends and other boys?
